Bama Buzz: Gadsden receives nearly $3M federal grant for downtown greenway

Thanks to a federal program's Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership, Gadsden and its Downtown Gadsden Greenway project will receive nearly $3 million for its multi-use urban trail project that connects to the Black Creek Trail System. It was one of only 54 projects selected in the nation with only ONE of those being in Alabama.

Anniston's Main Street Department introduces new retail incubator

We enjoyed an exciting day celebrating the opening of Main Street Anniston's Small Box Shop! Main Street Alabama, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Main Street Anniston, hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new turn-key space for local entrepreneurs launching a small business with long-term goals of securing a downtown storefront. Even better is the organization already has a tenant: Salads2Go!
