Downtown Birmingham continues to grow; food and beverage scene booming
"Through each report, we strive to empower Birmingham's stakeholders and visionaries with valuable insights to guide data-driven decisions for a stronger downtown," said David Fleming, President and CEO, REV Birmingham. We want to give a shout out to Bham Now for not only pointing out REV's recent Downtown Birmingham Economic Vitality Report, but also laying out some key takeaways from it.
Female leaders impacting the community for the better
Congrats to these "women of influence" who were recently recognized in Elmore County! We couldn't help but notice a couple of names and faces (Jenny Stubbs and Lynn Weldon) who played a role in getting the Main Street program started in Wetumpka!
Talladega Main Street Names New Executive Director
Katie Campbell was recently named Talladega Main Street's executive director. A Talladega native who previously volunteered with the organization as a committee chair, Campbell says she is dedicated to strengthening the community. "I know together we can unlock the full potential of our community and build great things for Talladega," she said.
Main Street Alabama brings revitalization efforts to Montgomery
Main Street Montgomery recently held "Pints & Plans". This event was an idea-sharing, community engaging conversation on plans for the "heart of Montgomery" - its downtown. What an excellent "organizational" opportunity for Main Street and volunteers to cultivate community buy-in and act as a fundraiser for Main Street.
