Regions Field Hosts Another Smashing Baron’s Season

Although it hasn’t been the winningest season we can remember, Regions Field has shown once again why it’s the best stadium in the Southern League. Folks downtown have come out and shown their support, rain or shine, and it has definitely been a season to remember!

Great Home Crowd Support

One thing is for sure, folks in Birmingham love their hometown baseball team. This season has seen stellar attendance at Regions Field which is a testament to just how great the stadium is. Fans young and old have come out to support the Barons this year and it has made for a great game-time atmosphere and definitely showcased the home-field advantage that the Barons enjoy when they play in Birmingham.

Local Bars Love The Barons

One of the best things about downtown Birmingham is the local bar scene. This Barons season, the bars around Regions Field have been swarmed with thirsty Barons fans looking for a cold drink before the first pitch.

Good luck finding an open table at Good People Brewing before the game. This local favorite has quickly become the go-to pregame spot for folks of all ages to hang out right until the first pitch.

There are also other local favorites around Railroad Park, located just outside Regions Field which means that you’re never far from a good bite to eat or cold drink before or after cheering on the Barons. That is why we absolutely love downtown Birmingham!

Tons Of Promotions From The Barons

One of the best things about going to a Barons game is taking advantage of the endless promotions they offer!

One of the fan favorites is Wet-Nose Wednesday where fans are free to bring their furry friends to enjoy some baseball at Regions Field! Fans love this event and turnout is high for Wednesday night games, so get there early and get a good spot in the outfield for you and your pup.

Thirsty Thursday is a crowd-pleaser as well. Fans can enjoy $2.50 select beers. What a steal! Attendance on Thursdays is always high and sales have shattered records this season. Thirsty Thursday is a great way to welcome the weekend and enjoy some great baseball in downtown Birmingham!

Family Sundays are one of the most cherished Barons traditions and this year has seen some of the best ever! Kids 12 and under can run the bases after the game all thanks to Jack's Restaurants, Soccer Shots, ARPA Coach Safely Initiative, Legend Windows, and Mi Pueblo. Kids absolutely love this tradition and this season has made memories for so many kids that will last a lifetime.

Perhaps the most beloved tradition at Barons games is the 7th inning wave to the patients at Children’s Hospital, right above the right field line. This captures the spirit of community that touches every facet of Birmingham life and it means so much to the patients and nurses at Children’s.

Post-Game Fireworks

One of the best parts of the weekend Barons games is seeing the awesome post-game fireworks show! Local businesses sponsor post-game fireworks that have stunned crowds all season.

The post-game shows have also been a great way to keep fans in the stadium until the end of the game. This has helped the vendors and local sponsors tremendously.

Season Stats

The Barons are finishing up their 2023 season, and their performance has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride.
