Community Updates - Design (August- November 2025)

In exciting news, Main Street Enterprise's Signage Grant Program is progressing with plans for permanent lighting at The Nook, and Main Street Wetumpka held a ribbon-cutting for the restoration of a historic Coca-Cola mural, with representatives from Coca-Cola taking part.

 

Montevallo Main Street Work is underway on their 2025 Main Street Alabama Grant Project, which will feature two murals by Bessemer-based artist Emma Gilbert, while Downtown Calera is getting ready for Highway 25 Rear Facade Upgrades.

 

Jasper Main Street made the headlines for the city’s 1939 WPA building four year restoration completion, resulting in a stunning Jasper City Hall. The community’s courthouse clock restoration also took place after a two-year project that returned three functioning clocks to the tower for the first time since the 1974 tornado!

 

Main Street Scottsboro’s Two Sisters Square park opening has been wonderful for the community, and Main Street Marion partnered with Bike Selma to host a bike repair and safety workshop.
